The High Tunnel Greenhouse

High Tunnels give Mother Nature a boost for a longer growing season and a higher yield of crops. As an unheated, plastic covered structure, the High Tunnel provides better control over the elements when compared to an open field. The impact of damaging weather and extreme temperatures on plants are significantly decreased when they are housed in this unit. Growers can extend and even expand their growth season with a High Tunnel. Single or double layer 6 mil plastic

Frame:

13-gauge, 1.66" in diameter with 4' spacing bows

13-gauge posts, 1.9" diameter ground stakes

5 runs of 1.315" purlin

Cross bracing with 3 rib braces to create truss effect on all intermediate bows

Cross truss on every bow.

Purlin attached to bows using 1 5/8" x 1 3/8" cross connectors

3-5 lines of Purlin, depending on width.

End wall braces

Zinc plated or hot-dipped galvanized hardware

Doors:

Constructed of 1 1/4 sq. inch welded galvanized tubing

Equipped with 8MM polycarbonate cover
